Abandoned flip flops on Flickr.
The “ghost town” of Nelson, NV, was clearly the dumping ground of someone who owned the land. Although it’s an “abandoned” ghost town, it’s a bit commercialized because it felt like there were props scattered throughout the still-standing buildings. (And they were. There were too many neatly placed contemporary items.) We were a bit disappointed that it wasn’t a true western ghost town, but it was still an interesting place to visit.
I found this abandoned pair of flip flops in the barn in front of this animal skull. It looked like the perfect juxtaposition of two very different objects.
